Engineering & Public Works:

LED Traffic signal lamps at: Wallbridge Loyalist Road and Dundas Street West
  
Wallbridge Loyalist Road at Loyalist College
  
Dundas Street West at Avonlough Road 
• Convert all traffic signal lamps in the Bell Boulevard corridor to LED lamps
• LED traffic flasher on Sidney Street, southbound direction, north of Highway 401
• LED flashing beacons on Harmony Road, near Highway 37, to warn motorists of reduced speed limit during school hours

City Hall

Exit light conversion to fluorescent from incandescent
• Fluorescent light conversion from T-12 to T-8
• New front and rear entrance doors
• Insulated ductwork in ceiling space of 3
rd floor

Recreation, Culture & Community Services

For Glanmore National Historic Site:
• Installation of timers/motion sensors on all room exhibits and display cases
• Deposit used batteries and bulks at Home Depot
• Air conditioning reduced – from 20 degrees to 25 degrees
• Heat lowered
For Arenas:
• Installation of Low-E ceiling (Dick Ellis)
• Motion Sensors on lighting
• Installation of timers/sensors on outdoor lighting
• Installation of Ice Light Dimmers
• Conversion of T-12 fluorescent lighting to T-8
• Replacement of Incandescent bulbs to compact fluorescent
• Installation of touch-less faucets (Yardmen Arena)
• Motion sensors on showers
• Conversion of showers to tempered water and timed cycles (Yardmen)
• I/R Ice Temperature Control Systems
• Hot water recovery from compressors
• Replacement of compressor motors to high efficiency motors
• Installation of de-scaling units for refrigeration plant
• Installation of Chemical-Free de-scaling unit for refrigeration plan (Yardmen)
• Changed from electric to natural gas hot water
• Conversion to a staged boiler system (Yardmen)
• Upgraded to electronic/pneumatic controls for air conditioning and heating (Yardmen)
• Disposed of/recycled all excess or non-green chemicals through RPR Environmental
• Light bulb disposal program with RPR Environmental
• Participating in "Arenas for Demand" program to reduce power usage during peak times
• Purchased "Bio-circle" equipment to reduce the use of harsh chemicals for cleaning mechanical parts by using a natural enzyme material
